She could tell the hug unnerved him slightly but that was who she was. She wasn't one to worry about it too much but she would appologize she had let her emotions get away from her she knew it. But it was very exciting.
"Sorry about the hug. And I don't want you to get hurt but if you did I would gladly help you out." she said with a nod.
How did she become a sentinel.. wow she really just kinda got thrown into it really.
"Well sentinel? I was basically picked by to do this job. I was evaluated and it seemed my love for adventure even inside the academy and on the planet had them intriguied they thought it would be just the right placement for me." she began. "And in truth it is. When I found out what it all entails and when I found out how much I got to travel meeting people and seeing distant lands I knew that it was definatly the right place for me. Why did you chose Guardian?"

He listened intently to her story, ignoring the apology altogether, there was no need for it if it was already come and gone, and it was. So she had been assigned it eh? Very un-Talmic like. He would never have wanted to be told what to do for a class, no he had chosen Guardian.
"h well when you behead an Ex-Knight they tend to take that as a sign of being a Guardian. Though they did debate making me a Sentinel as well, I however took the Guardian slot. Besides, I feel more at home on the battlefield than I do anywhere else. The thrill of a fight is almost to much for me, and more than once has almost lad me down the Dark Side. My years of being a Padawan however has shown me the way of the light however."
Talmic smiled and then flopped back down into the sunshine, fining it a rather nice alternative to anything else the world had to offer. After a but of time he looked over at her and then truly took in her form. She was very well built, for a fighter that is, although hi mind still saw her for the woman she was. There was no denying beauty, although within the order it had been... toned down. It was not uncommon however for marriages to occur within the Jedi Knight order, which Talmic had early on suspected would never occur to him. He had been pretty astute in his resolve earlier in life. Since Isus had shown him other alternatives however... life was getting interesting.

Val smiled down at the man next to her when he lay down. He was rather good looking she was not afraid to admit it. He was also neck and very friendly. She smiled and blushed at him a little for a reason she wasn't exactly sure of.
"Well, I enjoy travel way too much. I love to see new places and meet new people and different species. It's amazing. I love it. I will definatly go for the dragon slaying I'd like to have fun and it will be something worth doing." she told him with a nod.
She was very happy. She was looking down at him and smiling. Probably looked like she was nuts but she didn't care. She was happy to be going with Talmic and happy that he was going to let her go. She was thrilled at the prospect of fighting a dragon and to help out a fellow Jedi.

Yawning slightly as he relaxed a bit more Talmic let his eyes slip closet and the violet orbs remained closed. His hit/silver hair was a bit ruffled so he used his right hand to slick it back again and his single forward facing bang hung in the air like a needle. Talmic himself let his mind reach out, briefly touching at Val's own force sensitivity before moving onto reach into the plant life around them. With every little prick or tingle at the edge of his mind he moved to wards that force with his mind.
After several minutes of this Talmic's eyes opened up slowly and he blinked away the harsh sunlight, soon his eyes compensated and the light filtered threw the tree tops to splash over his face in patches of light and shadow. Oddly enough Talmic had felt a small amount of... shyness? from the girl next to him. He slowly looked over at her and nodded, meaning simply that it was fine with him if she came along. Of course she wouldn't be coming with him in two weeks time to go get a crystal, but she would be going when he got his pearl.
"So it seems the party grows doesn't it?"
Talmic stayed staring up at the waving sunlight for the longest time, just letting his mind wander in a state of weak meditation, expanding one's mind, growing threw the Force, letting your body go, all of these were things he had heard from many masters. However one resounding master would always stick out in his mind, Solis. Yes everyone knew his name, and at one point or another they had all met him, but to go to the wise Jedi for advise... Talmic knew it had taken a lot more courage than he would admit to do that.
"Have you ever seen a Krayt Dragon before?"

Dragons were something that most never got to see much less fight. It was not really a dream of hers to fight a dragon but it definatly would be amazing to do. She also wouldn't mind traveling anywhere in the universe with the handsome man laying in the grass next to her.
"Dragon? Well no. But that doesn't mean that I wouldn't want to or have any qualms helping you out getting what you need. Really, I enjoy to travel and traveling with you would be even better."
She tucked her hair behind her ears again the red highlights seeming to almost glow against her brown in the sunlight.
"So when do you leave for Tatoonie?" she asked.

Talmic didn't move at all as she spoke, save the shallow rise and fall of his chest as he took breath after breath. She seemed to be one who desired excitement and adventure, someone who would one day find her downfall threw her desires. Talmic almost laughed, so like him to try and analyze someone and find a way they could fall to the Dark Side. Hell Talmic had, on more than one occasion, felt the pull of the dark side. Not only in combat but in his personal feelings, hence why he let go of them as often as possible, many times speaking his mind instead of penting it up.
"No idea, best guess would be about 3 weeks from now, maybe more. Don;t worry I'll come find you before we leave, just be ready to leave at a moments notice in the next two weeks. That entire third week I will most likely come at some point. No sooner however. Tell me, were either of your parents a Jedi?"

Moments notice? Yes, that won't be a problem at all. She was always packed anyway should her master call her and tell her that they were leaving. She was in a constant state of readiness.
"I will be ready when you come for me." she stated with a nod a smile on her face.
She didn't mind showing her emotions. Why should she to hide them only let them bottle up and if she was happy she was going to show it and when she was angry then she would show it. She never let anything build up inside her.
"My parents, well no they aren't. Them and my seven brothers and sisters are all completely normal." she said with a shrug.

Talmic nodded in approval to here that she was ready to go whenever. She was probably similar to Talmic in that she was always ready to go whenever. Talmic have even been told to leave at dawn before, with only twenty minutes to dawn, and been ready to go in ten. He was always ina state of go, should it come. Of course his robes and stuff were commonly kept separate for obvious reason, his sabers always on him or near him. His normal gear, extra saber parts and such however, were often kept in a small pocket on his back, although of late he had taken to keep a rucksack.
"Ah, well my Father was on the Council for many years. He left the order a couple years ago though, to spend more time with my mother. He wasn't very influential but as one of the few Masters still around, you can see how he might need to stick around and take care of things."
Talmic plucked a piece of grass from beside him and force pushed it up, sending it high into the air, where th wind would take it as it pleased.

Val sat there and thought about her own family as he spoke of his. Her mother was the kind and nurturing type. The one that was always there for her children kind heart and taking care of various scrapes and bumps they had gotten.
Her father there for her when she needed real advice or a sounding board. The strong silent type had taken his bright and energetic daughter under his wing. It seemed that though they were so different they got along extremely well.
Her four brothers and three sisters were the best friends and the best playmates one could ever hope to have. Her brothers all older than her and only two sisters younger than her. She was never bored and rarely alone even when her parents were off traveling the galaxy as she did.
Val really longed for a family of her own. Children a husband at the very least a husband. She knew it would be hard to have children as she would be traveling so much unless she quit. But she was dediated to the Jedi and though she was still considering dropping her current master she did still want to follow the ways of the Jedi. But she might be able to work in a marriage as well.
"So what are your plans for the future?" she asked returning her attention to the boy next to her.

The future, huh, the Order was his future right now, and he didn't plan on changing that. No, he would probably never marry, never have a child, never even delve into romance. Yes he was open with his feelings, but he was so shut off from the rest of his life Talmic wouldn't even know love if it hit him square in the chest.
There was another issue with him, what was his future? As a Guardian his life would probably end on the battlefield in a quick and painless manner. Of course his death could also come from a Sith and be slow and aganizing. If he got involved with anyone and if he fell... no he couldn't risk any type of attachment, not on a deep level at least.
"Oh, probably just work my way up threw the Order, maybe work my way onto the council eventually. All I know is being a Guardian, my life will proably be cut short in a fight. Not like you Sentinels, you guys get all the political assignments, we Guardians get stuck with the grunt work. Although I wouldn't have it any other way."
Talmic looked oevr at her and smiled a bit, as if dying like that was something he had always saw and anticipated, which in fact he had. His Mother had been a little distressed to learn her son was a Guardian, that his life was going to be almost constant risk and danger. Oh well, as was the life of a Jedi one did it for the good of the Universe, and every time that's what Talmic told himself this was for.

Life? He just wanted to throw his life away like that. It totally made no sense to her at all. She looked over at him and studied him. Sure all Jedi's were prepared to give what they could for the greater cause but seriously she was not all gung hoe about giving up her life.
"Don't say that!" she exclaimed and took his hand in hers. She held it to her without thinking. Yes, she was rather smitten with the fellow and she would probably say something before they parted but she wasn't going to say it right now.
"You life is the very last thing you want to give up. Don't go into a battle thinking it is okay to die. You will fight better if you want to live. This is not a weakness it is a strength the will to live many times gives you that extra push or awareness where there was none before. Many Jedi have almost died and near death still won a battle because of the will to live!"
She didn't understand the desire for death. She knew she would die eventually but it wasn't something she harped on or pretended to be prepared for. She was living and she loved her life. Holding his hand was doing things to her that she never thought possible. She blushed but said nothing. She would though.. later.

To say the least Talmic was surprised by what the rash young girl next to him did. Didn't she know that a Jedi was supposed to be willing to die in the line of duty and not feel regret? Wishing to live longer than one was meant was wishing to bring the dark side down upon them, more than one Jedi had struck a deal at death to live longer because they feared the end. Sure Talmic didn't want to die, who did? But Talmic also knew that those who accepted their fate and chose to join the force could come back as a force ghost.
Hearing he word and the touch of her hand he almost felt regret for what he had said, he should have just kept his mouth shut. This always happened, he always said the wrong thing to make people upset and act rashly, now Talmic's own emotions were beginning to boil and soon he was sitting up in her face, inches from hers, his voice not a shout but very firm.
"And what if I chose to let the Force guide me? What about the countless Jedi that turned to the dark side as they lay dying? What about them? They thought all would be well and good, that if they clung to life they would make it threw, but did they? No, instead they became weak and resorted to Sith tricks to keep themselves alive. Anyone who would rather cling to life and sell their very essence is no Jed. Granted a Jedi may use the prospect of life to hold on, but you can't go into every fight and expect to live, it's just not possible. Maybe I'm a realist but damnit, I'm also a Guardian, and it's my job to protect people like you from dying. I chose to become a Guardian because it was the easiest way to clear my mind and let my emotions run free. So what if I used to want a family and to live long enough to see my own kids enter the academy? The fact is I will die long before that because if someone like you was in trouble I would gladly sacrifice myself to see that a someone like yourself survives. I'm a Guardian, so if it comes to it let me do my job."
He ended with a snap of his jaw and his violet eyes stared back into hers, his still clam and composed look remained. It was like he had just let all his emotions go at once, like he had doe so many times before. It was one of the only things that kept him from slipping over the line and falling prey to the dark side of the force. He was young, he was rash, he was still in need of some training, and he had no outlet for the last two weeks, none at all. You couldn't keep emotions like that bottled up, it resulted in one slipping over to the dark side. But you couldn't ignore those feelings either, maybe this whole future thing was not something he should have gotten into.

Val listened his breath racing across her face as she watched his every emotion crossing his face. He was so close and it was so tempting to do something. She knew she would when he finally finished his speel she would do it.
"You misinterpret me. I mean only not to give up your life. If you admit defeat before you even begin to fight then you will too easily give up your life. I am not saying that dying is not noble for the Jedi cause. And I know that most Jedi would want to raise a family and live a long and fully life. Hell, I do. But you just cant' go into your missions so prepared to fail. If you don't at least hold your life in highest regards then you will definatly be all too willing to see that as an option instead of looking at all the facts and using your life as a last restort." She looked deeply into his eyes.
"Besides, I know that life is short Jedi or not. Yes, I may be a politician but that does not mean my life doesn't come with dangers. That does not mean that I cannot be captured, tortured, killed, or have to fight for the Jedi cause. You have to take the life you are given and live it to its fulles have no regrets yet at the same time cherish every moment you have and may have. Like this..."
She leaned in and placed her lips on his giving him a soft and gentle yet passionate kiss her hand moving to cup his cheek as she let the kiss linger wondering what his reaction would be.

Her own little rant of defense had him calming down somewhat, but he was still pretty angry that she would support someone using life as a tool and a goal. Your goals should reflect what your mission and your life reflects, if you couldn't die for what you believed in then what could you believe in?
As she entered her little phase about life being shorter for a Jedi and the whole speel about taking life by the moment, his mind slowed everything down. He could tell she had something on her mind from the look in her eyes, from the way she carried herself a bit more forward and upfront. He cold tell that she had moved in a bit closer in her speech and now, she seemed every close but Talmic couldn't pin down why she was. Was she trying to make him listen to her by making him focus on her eyes and not her body? Like Talmic had barely noticed, he wasn't one for love, hell the increased heart rate just told him he was probably a bit nervous, he had no idea why though. Of course these signs all pointed to a simple little act called attraction, but Talmic would deny it to the end.
Then the unthinkable, at least for Talmic, happened. She kissed him, right on the lips and everything, her hand even came up to cup his cheek and let the kiss linger. Talmic's eyes were wide the whole time her lips were on his. He couldn't immediately react, the initial shock causing him to lose all connections to reality. So for a good ten seconds the kiss stayed and then Talmic pulled back, not quickly, but fast enough to break contact and no pull her with him. Eyes still wide Talmic's voice was just a bit shaky.
"What did you do that? Jedi may be allowed to love, but Master Solis, he wouldn't approve..."

This kiss most likely meant way more to her than it did to him but it was perfect. She had to get it off her chest and this was the ways she knew how. She was very attracted to the man and even if he didn't return any of those feelings then at least she had been honest and given it the right and proper chance. Her heart was still racing when he pulled back she opened her eyes her hand still on his cheek gently she smiled at him blushing as she did so.
"Why? Well because I'm infinitly attracted to you and I couldn't really care less whether Master Solis approves or not. I like you Talmic. I really do." she brushed his cheek with her thumb her hand staying in place. "Did you not enjoy it?"
She looked into his violet eyes wondering if he would want another kiss. She would of course be ready but she was waiting for his feelings and his cue.
"I know that love is something found but I'm not asking for love right away. Perhaps a chance to find it? Yes." she confessed.

Talmic, to say the least, did enjoy that last little display of affection, yes ti had been very nice. Then again for years the Jedi had never discouraged love, feeling that if one could openly love and accept another then that person could in fact have an even greater force to fight with. Who would fight more fiercely for those they loved and cherished, for those that they found to be truly remarkable. Hell love had even saved some recent lives from the dark side, and giving it a hot... well that wouldn't hurt would it?
"Yes..."
He gulped out between her two statements and questions. yes he had said, what was he a fool? Here he was, laying in the warm afternoon sun, with this woman who he was realizing he would over to get to now better and trying to re-coop from a kiss. His breathing was bit ragged and his heart thumped in his chest, yes he was... falling for this girl? No, but he was attracted to her, he knew now for sure he was. She was... unique and she seemed so open like him. Maybe having someone like her around, closer than others, would help.
"A.. A chance... ummm... ye... yes I guess it couldn't hurt, to give being close to someone a try. But please... don't move this along to fast... to me it's... still rather shaky."
Talmic fell back onto the support of both his hands, his backside and his feet firmly on the ground, he leaned his head back and stared at the sky. He wasn't supposed to do this, it used to be forbidden... but hadn't love been the very reason many a Jedi fell? Because their love was forbidden and life to them was restricted? Sure Jedi were still expected uphold the law and keep the peace, but now they could over, and marry, and have children. There now great Force wielding families even! Maybe this wasn't so bad.

She sat there looking into his violet eyes waiting for his answer. She was wondering what his answer would be and wondering if he too could embrace the chance for a better life. She wanted so badly to be able to consider him more than a friend. She waited in silence. The tingling still on her lips.
His one worded answer sent shrills down her spine and her face lit up happily. She bit her lip to keep from squealing too loudly and hugging him tightly. She stayed in her space not moveing as he said a bit more and she nodded. She watched him lean back and she moved to sit next to him but did not touch him yet.
"I'll try to keep it slow. And if I get too carried away just let me know. I've never kissed anyone before so it's new to me too it's just I've been wanting to for a while now and so I decided to just go for it." she admitted with a shrug. She looked at him and smiled wanting to touch him so badly.
"I'm glad you are willing to give us a chance." she smiled a bit bigger. "So... what should we do now?" she asked.

Feeling her move next to him he was a bit uneasy again, still unsure of himself. Was he really supposed to just sit here and accept that he had just taken this girl up on the offer 'date' her in a sense. She had said that was her first kiss as well, and well, Talmic believed her, why wouldn't he? She was honest, very open, and by all accounts it seemed she was the type to keep her emotions open and outside. In a lot of ways she was like Talmic, in others she was his polar opposite. She was more of a politician, he was a through and through warrior. She was bold and took action, he didn't normally do tat for fear of being expelled from the order or failing a mission from a poor decision.
He listened to her words of taking it slow, just how he wanted to take it, nice and slow. It would probably be a good two or three weeks before he actually worked up the nerve, or the mental fortitude to actually kiss her like she had kissed him. Hell maybe even longer since he had already told her she could go on hat mission with him. Oh now it seemed liek such a mistake, having said yes. Had he nown she was going to kiss him he would have said no, hell if he had seen this coming he would have avoided the woman entirely. Sadly however Talmic had not and now he was stuck with his decision to call this woman more than a friend. Being bold enough he slipped his hand sideways and set it on hers, the action not looked at nor thought much of afterwords. He would let her know he was willing to try.
"Personally I feel like I'm about o crash from an emotional and physical exhaustion."
So he did, falling back wards Talmic slammed into the ground and kept his had on hers, only lightly though, his palm resting on the back of her hand in a manner of just barely wanting to. Hell Talmic was new to all of this and she was the one who started all of this. Now Talmic would be leading the whole endeavor, all of it. If she got to close he would tell her, if she was to forward, he would tell her. He was going to be amazed if he even lasted a week without breaking down and taking his vengeance out on a tree in some random clearing.

She knew that slow for him was going to be agonizingly slow torture for her but for him she would do it. She wanted him to be able to say that she didn't push him but she knew that she would hug him when he left today but not kiss him again unless he wanted it. She wanted him happy and not miserable. From the way he spoke she could tell that any moves on his part would be very very slow and very well thought out before anything.
But then he suddenly suprised her and put his hand over hers on the grass. She smiled as a reward but didn't move she just stayed exactly where she was not wanting to scare him. She didn't want to hear she was moving too fast already. When he lay down she turned to look at him and clasping his hand gently very gently in her own by turning her hand so their fingers interlaced she lay down next to him.
"I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable." she said looking over at him. "But I didn't want to let my feelings go unannouced and you deserved to know. And right now holding your hand it feels like the right thing."

Feeling her hand move under his felt oddly nice, as she laced their fingers together Talmic could only continue to stare up at the skies of Dantooine and watched as a few puffy clouds made their way across the sky,, trying to pick up moisture and form a storm. Here on Dantooine however the storms were massive and heavy with rain, lots of rain. Talmic could remember one day when it dropped close to six inches of water in two hours. Why, for the love of god, they were hear on this planet he had no idea. But he did know one thing, on good days like this is was magnificent.
The planet, full of life and history, was strong wit the force thanks to it's old ties to the academies here and many hundreds of thousands of creatures that lived here. With so much history on such a beautiful planet, it was no wonder the new Academy was here.
"It's OK. I ca understand where you're coming from, I just don't see what you see in me honestly. Realist, Guardian, not that great with words..."
Talmic let the last part trail off, proving his point that he no longer had anything to say and had just given up mid sentence. How was she supposed to like him? Honestly, he wasn't any better looking than most of the other Jedi, his records were the only thing that really stood out. He was a zguardian who constantly fought off the dark side in him, he even had experience with the dark side, having nearly fallen to it his fist mission.
