Val spun one last time ending her sparring session with herself she disengaged her yellow light sabers and sat down in the grass breathing heavily. She had just started coming to this clearing to train. She liked it here it was serene and she could concentrate better.
She picked up a towel and wiped off her face as she lay back in the grass looking up at the sky. It was a beautiful day. She closed her eyes and lay absorbing the warmth of the day letting herself relax and dry off in the grass. Her days here were normally so very busy and her Master kept her busy as well teaching her everything he thought she would need to know. But today was a nice day she got a day off and so after training she was planning to lay her and relax.

The small clearing had pr oven to be a very well suited meditation area. Talmic may be a Guardian but he was, by no means, a non force user. Sure he used it limitedly, or only when he felt the need, but as one grew to become a Knight one would also grow to become a better force user. And so Talmic was now spending day after day, hour after hour, in deep meditation. He couldn't train his sabers since well, he had none. He did have two identical saber hilts sitting in his room currently, put together and taken apart many times, each time faster and faster. Talmic was getting the hang of building the complicated devices, although they wouldn't work without proper wiring and a crystal. Somewhere on Dantoonie, within the next two weeks Isus Jarode would appear and Talmic would have to seek him out.
Stepping into the clearing Talmic was shocked to find a young woman, his own age amazingly, with saber. She moved gracefully and she used two sabers, odd for someone of the light. Talmic's own twin saber style came of choice, and partly of force. Some considered him to attached to the dark side this way, but hey, they just needed to see him for what he was, a Jedi.
"Nice form. If I may be so bold, can I get your name?"

Valeska heard the grass around her moving and she knew someone was coming so she wasn't startled when a voice finally rang out. She smiled and opened her eyes and sat up smiling up at him.
"I'm Valeska Reinheart but I go by Val. Please have a seat and join me. What is your name?"
She looked up and watched him it seemed he too used twin blades. She smiled up at him and was hopeing she was giving him a very warm welcome.

Talmic smiled warmly as the girl, now known as Valeska, or Val as she seemed to prefer, offered him a seat. Gladly accepting the offer to be off his feet Talmic set to crossing the short distance between them and soon he was sitting beside the fellow Jedi Padawan. Well at least he assumed she was a Padawan. For all he knew she could be a very young Jedi Knight. The sense he got from her though was that of one not only connected to the force, but one who seemed they anted to help others. The 'aura' she gave off was definitely one of the light.
"Thank you, my name is Talmic Jarac, can't say I go by anything but Talmic."
His blades, sadly were not on him and she would have no idea that he did use two blades, unless he stated so. But it would be pretty obvious since Talmic only wore his shirt vest and trousers today, his twin saber straps were sitting, about mid stomach level and would very easily show off that he did use two blades. Looking over at the woman he smiled and continued there little conversation.
"So, I see you're a user of the twin blade style. Care to tell me how you picked that little trait up?"

So Talmic. Well that was definatly not a name one heard everday thought neither was Valeska. She watched him as he walked over to her. He was rather good looking by anyone's account and yes she might be a Jedi but that didn't mean she didn't notice when a man is good looking or not.
"It's very nice to meet you Talmic." she said with a nod.
She looked him over and knew that he was definatly of the light side which boasted well for her because one she was not in danger and two he was a possible friend. She had a few friends but was always open to meeting more. A friend is an ally as far as she was concerned.
"Well, I studied with the master at the academy and every time I used one light saber it just felt... wrong." she said with a shrug. "Not sure if this really makes any sense or not but it's true. So the master after telling him my concern smiled and gave me two. It was just like they fit there. Like that was the way I was supposed to fight. I enjoy it. It came easier to me than one." she explained. "What about yourself? I see two straps."

Talmic looked up, admiring the sky as Val talked, yes calling her Val would be fine. Many a time friends could be made this way, just remaining relaxed and open. Talmic, believing that often times what led a Jedi to the dark side was bottling up their emotions, was one to let them flow freely. He didn't use them as a tool of war, or of anger like those of the dark side would. No Talmic was one to just let them out and then not worry about them later. Hence why so few times, even now, he had no anger in him.
"Ah, well I can't boast that I have sabers currently. I am constructing two new ones, rare I know, but it's a needed change. I have recently come to see that one master, although enough, is not exactly the path the Force is guiding me down. I have been training under multiple Jedi now, well one is an Ex-Jedi friend of mine."
Talmic didn't know how she would react to that, to hearing that he was training under someone not of the order anymore. Well, it's not like he could lie, he was always open and honest, when asked. To be truthful that was part of the reason he no longer had two sabers.
"As for how I came across two saber style. I picked it up my first mission. Our ship was raided by pirates and I ended up having to kill ex-Jedi Knight Yuri Valkususki. You can go look it up in the archives if you want more on it."

She lay back in the warm grass staring up at the beautiful sky and listening as the man next to her, Talmic spoke. She he had given up his master. Well she had contemplated the very same thing on numerous occasions she hadn't come to a decision so he would find no ill will here on this open field.
He then went on to explain about how he had to kill an ex knight on his first mission and at that her eye brows rose. She was a sentinel and she mostly traveled and handled relations and negotiations becoming a sort of ambassador but she had yet to have to actually kill someone that had been a Jedi.
"Well, I might just take you up on that offer actually." she said with a smile and a wink meaning looking up the information he was talking about.
"So tell me about yourself. You know outside training what kinds of things to you like to do to pass your spare time?"

Talmic digested the words she sent his way, it seemed she was a very relaxed and open. She seemed to be the type that would be good at calming a room, maybe consular, or even a Sentinel with the way she used those blades. No way she was a Guardian, guardians like Talmic weren't that good with words, and were often bit more rash, although of late Talmic had been quelling that particular end of his personality.
Tossing around her question in his head for a few more seconds Talmic nodded and lay back, his arms slipping behind his head to act as a pillow. Free time eh? Well as of late all his time had gone to meditating and force training. He hadn't even touched a saber for two weeks, it felt odd and strangely out of place.
"Well... lately I've had no free time. Being a Guardian I don;t get much free time, between escort missions and keeping my body in shape there is really no time for 'fun'. I do enjoy a good game of chess or even a quick read. My free time, if you can call it that, of late has been more of a saber building time slot. How about yourself, you seem the type to be a Consular or Sentinel, but I would guess the latter."
Talmic looked over at her and winked, meaning he had probably been dead on in his guess. His white hair shimmered a bit in the sunlight and Talmic pushed his one forward bang to the right side of his face, the bang now hovering over his right eye. He wiggled a bit and adjusted his clothes so the belt loops on the back didn't dig into his lower back.

She lay the sun was beating down on the grass as she looked over at Talmic. He did seem to glow in a way the sun beaming off his white hair. She liked his white hair it was unique. Hers was average except for the red highlights she had put in them.
"You should make more time for fun things. Like reading and chess. I know that focusing on your powers and your saber skills is important but to relax and just let yourself enjoy something that will make you smile or even laugh. This is as good for you as anything really. Better sometimes because it nutures the heart and the soul." she told him her own little piece of wisdom.
She sat up and took her hair tie out of her hair letting the brown and red locks fall around her shoulders. She shook it out playfull and then lay back down.
"Much better, I hope you don't mind but sometimes it's nice to let your hair down you know." she said with a smile.
"But you are right, I am a sentinel." she said with a nod now cradling her head in one of her arms as she let the other run through the grass between them. "For fun I read, play chess, I also study. I guess those are my main hobbies."

Talmic didn't notice as she let hr hair out, not until he said something and he had to look over to acknowledge it. Talmic was not one to let his hair go astray, even for a bit. He liked it kept back like this, and even in sleep it seemed to hold, although he had no idea how. Probably the years of keeping that way really.
Hearing her response that she was indeed a Sentinel he nodded to himself and thought about how much free time he would have once he was a Knight. He would probably either be asked to immediately take on a student or be assigned to missions regularly, as was the duty of a Guardian. His maser had called it a 'working' title. Mainly because being a guardian meant going to the places where combat was likely. Alas that was his chosen fate.
"Sounds like fun to me, although I can't say mine are any different. Maybe once I get my sabers back you would care to have a spar match? To be honest I've never met another person who uses to sabers... it would be fun to see how we match up."

Val tucked her hair behind her ears as she lay in the grass. She was a girl of course she let her hair down sometimes. Plus it was thick and too long in one style made it get heavy and gave her headaches so she switched it sometimes. She looked over at him watching him not really staring just taking him in.
"A spar? Sure why not." she said with a gentle shrug.
Truth was he was right she had problems finding other Jedi's to fight with that used two sabers so it would be great to finally be able to spar against one of her own. She looked back up to the warm sky and smiled it was a wonderful day.
"So what brings you to Datoonie? How long is your stay?" she asked looking back over at him.

Hearing her reply he smiled and silently thanked the Force for guiding him here. Finally someone who might be able to offer him a break from the routine dual. Of course they would have to use stun sabers, and that would mean Talmic would have to get permission to use said sabers. That would mean they would need four and everything would take some time, but in the end Talmic thought it would sort itself out.
"Oh my stay is only for about a month or so, two weeks now. After that I'm off to find a couple of special saber crystals. I plan on making these sabers last me for a long time, maybe forever, so I feel they need to be exceptional. Of course, to not use them at all would be a blessing."
Talmic of course was referring to the fact that a perfect Jedi, a truly good Jedi, would be able to resolve any situation without the use of a saber, sadly it seemed that would never happen. Never was a long time to, then again maybe one day there would come a time this ideal would work.

Of course it was very important to her that she had to use her sabers minimally. Because it was only the last resort no matter how it looked sometimes. She knew she was definatly not one to rase her saber for no reason. And being the calm and easy going girl she was it was even less than most.
"Where will your travels take you?" she asked still looking at him.
It was true she enjoyed traveling so much she wondered when she could graduate so to speak so she could travel more. This was really why the thought crossed her mind to leave her master in the first place. Because she wished that when something like Talmic's opportunity arose that sounded fun she could go and have fun on a whim. It was hard waiting and it was hard being patient when there was so much of the universe she had yet to see. Was that really a reason to leave one's master? For her it very well could be.

Talmic thought for a long time about her latest question, shifting a bit as he tried to get more comfortable. Around someone like Val, who seemed to constantly ask questions and stay occupied threw speech Talmic felt... inferior almost. He was never one with words, often being brutally honest and more often than not quiet. Around people like Val, well he was just to damn quiet usually. For some reason now he was open though, probably the connection to the Force, it was growing within him. More and more he seemed able to sense what to say rather than what to think to say.
"Oh here and there. I'm here so I can retrieve at least one crystal, then probably off to Tattonie to retrieve a Krayt Dragon Pearl, they make excellent agility blades I hear. I may also look into some other alternatives, but the Dragon Pear is my first choice."
Talmic then thought of what was involved to do that little action, the foremost action being that he would need to slay a Krayt Dragon.
"To do that of course I'm going to have to slay a Krayt Dragon, which is no small task. At around 30 meters long and 15 meters high, they are no small fight. Of course that's why I'm here on Dantoonie first, to get a single crystal to forge my first of two sabers. You should look into it yourself, forging a custom blade, unless of course you have... have you?"
Honestly finding someone who had already done it would be perfect. He could ask them what all exactly they had done and how exactly to construct such a devise, his own Lightsaber. It was a dream of his, and to be honest, it would be perfect to build his own two sabers.

Val propped herself up on her elbow while she listened to him so that she could see him as they spoke. The gentle breeze rifled through her muticolored hair she leaned her head on her hand as she watched him speak of finding a new crystal or two really for his new lightsabers the ones that he wanted to make custom for himself.
She thought about how fun it would be to see much less fight a dragon a real live dragon. Why it was a dream really to fight something that large even just to experience it and say that you had fought one. She really wanted to go now! Oh to fight along side this man in battle she wouldn't want anything from it just going on the adventure and going to slay a dragon was enough.
"No unfortunatly I have not built my own light sabers. It would be fun I have to admit. I would enjoy doing that though. And killing a dragon.. wow! How exciting." she exclaimed with a smile.
Man! How she wanted to go!

Talmic chuckled a bit at her rather engrossed enthusiasm. Sure it would be fun, but it would be hard to, and he was going to explain that now. Oh yes, it was very hard to kill a Krayt Dragon, much less find one old enough to have produced a pearl worthy of a saber.
"Oh believe me when I say it won;t be to much fun. Krayt Dragons require quite a bit to take them down. The best way however, would be to catch them right above the nose-"
He reached up and tapped her nose, right on the bridge.
"- where the bone is weakest, and you'll get right into the brain."
Lowering himself back down to the cool and spiky grass Talmic continued, his hand moving back behind his head to support it.
"Of course to do that I would have to mount the thing and be able to get a clear shot at the sinus cavity. There's a treat, trying to work your way onto the head of a Krayt Dragon. Firs there's the fact that it has three inch fangs, then you throw in some high toxic poison, a few razor sharp claws, and a hefty two to three ton weight. Oh yes it sounds loads of fun doesn't it?"
Talmic chuckled softly again, his first real chance to laugh in a long time. Of course with his constant missioning and training of late he had barely spoken to anyone, much less to someone so open and relaxed. Was this girl really a Jedi, or was she someone sent here to make the day seem faster and more enjoyable? Who knew, but the Force was probably behind it all, as it should be.

He touched me! HE TOUCHED ME! craziness entered her mind as she tried to calm herself down but let the bright smile she felt this deserved cross her face. She smiled brightly at him her eyes light with happiness as she listened to the rest of what he had to say.
"Well, mabye it would be easier if you had a partner one in it for nothing but companionship and the experience." she said with a shrug hinting at herself. "Someone to keep the dragon busy while you climbed up. I bet working as a team towards a common goal will be much easier than doing it alone."
She sat and waited, hoping maybe he might let her go with him. She would be helpful of course and she loved adventure and travel. Heck she was a sentinel she was used to travel how fun would it be to travel and kill a dragon! You don't get much more fun than that! She chuckled to herself her whole body alight with enthusiasm.

Listening to her words they seemed full of want and desire to tag along on his little adventure to the barren deserts of Tatoonie. To those Tuscan Raider infested little corners of nowhere where you could just as easily die from the elements as you could from a Raider attack. Well, if she really wanted to tag along Talmic could ask Isus the next time they met... no she could come if she wanted. Having a second Jedi there would not only help it would allow him to see how truly skilled she was with those sabers of hers. Taking down a full grown Krayt Dragon, this was going to be interesting.
"Alright, I don't see why you couldn't. Of course you may have to deal with my new Instructors odd personality, but you'll be a welcome addition to the team. Besides, someone has to be able to carry my broken butt back to the ship, and I doubt my Instructor will be up for that."
Talmic thought of Isus complaining, cursing, screaming, and punching Talmic a few times for making the old man carry his sorry butt back to the ship. Talmic almost burst out laughing at the thought of it. There would be a grand day for Talmic, to see the old man finally admit that Talmic had done something right. Of course if he killed without cause wasn't he breaking the Jedi code? Oh now there was a dilemma. Of course Krayt Dragons were a menace to the population of Tatoonie, many a man had been killed by one. Maybe it would be OK, or maybe not, Talmic didn't know. Just one more thing to look into.
"So, what made you want to be a Sentinel? Did you chose it or did it chose you?"

A squeal of delight passed through the air and quicker than light she was across the small space between them hugging him tightly. She was so excited she didn't even care whether he was upset or not.
"Thank you! Thank you!" she said happily and then pulled back sitting in an indian style. She tucked her hair behind her ears and grinned.
This was going to be the very best adventure ever!! She giggled and her face scruched up a little it was very visible to see she was too happy to go. She knew that she would be an asset to the crew she would be able to help them and they could at least use her as a distraction.
"I think I can really help. And I'd be more than happy to carry you back if you were injured. You're a friend what else are they for?" she asked happily.

The sudden action of a squeal and then a tight embrace, while very un-Jedi like, shocked and amused Talmic. Not returning the hug but rather stunned he just sat himself up as she moved and for the longest time he just nodded. Finally clearing his head he chuckled a bit and then looked over to see the eagerness behind the girl's eyes. She was very open with her emotions it seemed, maybe to open. People like her could easily be swain to the dark side, given the chance and the opportunity, but Talmic could not sense a trace of hate or anger in the girl. He was more than amused with this woman, she was most certainly interesting.
"Well, don't plan on getting wounded, so sorry to dash your dreams of heroic rescue from a dragon's maw."
he laughed a bit and brought one leg over, bending it at the knee he set his right elbow across it and then put his head down on the makeshift pillow, looking over at the Jedi Sentinel before him.
"So, you still have yet to tell me, how exactly did you become a Sentinel?"
