I was just thinking about it, and I realized that several people on this board are young characters, all of them placed below twenty. While this is their choice, I feel perhaps its a good idea to place an age increase on a Real Time ratio. For example, a character starts at eighteen years old on June of this year; two months later, they turn nineteen; another two months, they're twenty, and so on. I'm not sure how this'll work with everyone, but I feel that being restricted by time on such a vast world is difficult to pull off. I feel that in order for many characters to grow legitly, they need to grow up by age, and therefore it'd make more sense in a universal stage. The Galaxy is a big place after all. I thought about basing this on post count, but that'd be a bit awkward meeting someone you knew in the past, who is the same age. I'd prefer not to repeat Fable. Either way, anyone up for this or totally against it?

I would agree with it if there were a way that it would be enforced.

Decent idea in theory, impossible to pull off in practice.
Plus I think that two months is a little too 'Fable' for my tastes. Of course, I've got NO long-term sense of time (Hell, I don't even have a short-term sense of time) so maybe I'm wrong.
What I think is that the best thing to do is that I just state up a note somewhere on the OOC board that says "A year has passed, up your age" because, really, what with all the time distortion that's going to be going on, some people *coughMEcough* could spend two months on one thread... and he'll have aged a year in one day, more or less.
And Solis is old enough already.

Look whose talking. I'm fifty four here! You should be surprised I'm suggesting this. Well, of course you're obviously not ol' buddy, considering you know me so well outside of the old man attitude... but that's beside the point! Either way, I'm fine with the OOC mention. I feel that some form of age increase should be considered, and I thought with the board being this small at the moment, the two month idea may not work, considering most of us are pretty inactive. Perhaps once we get more active we can exploit it. Note though Grand Master "Old Guy", that while people take two months to make a thread complete, that doesn't mean they've aged in that time. They could RP the entire thing as a day, or a month, or a few months, it wouldn't matter, because its in the time period of the Star Wars Universe. But either way, I'm fine with that OOC idea. Whatever works, right? Now, I'm off to go act like I'm high.... I mean, looking at the stars.

It occurs to me that all of you admins have access to the other occounts, and can therefore go about communicating with each other about who changed what age when and by how much, and keeping track of dates as per when people were approved. Or is this making no sense, and taking too much time from your usual rutene(sp?) in daily life? I'm just saying, you DO have access to the accounts, and some people don't look at the OOC board ~cough~ME~cough~ so they may not know when to change their age, or even IF they change their age according to the rules set up you you three gentlemen. MAN, that took a long time to write! Anywho, just thought you might like some third(or fourth) party perspective. Laterz!-Natal

We're keeping to the OOC statement. Whatever Boss man says, is done. We're too young of a board to concern ourselves with Democracy right now, so unless it's a terribly painful matter to ya'll, then it'll be the OOC statement.
Besides, I'm sure you guys will notice a "Age Increase" thread in the OOC...
