Name: Solis Fay’den
Race: Human
Side Of The Force: So Light it can blind you.
Rank: Grand Master of the Jedi Master Council
Class: Consular
Age: 41
Weight: 6’0”
Height: 186 lbs.
Build: Solis is a man who is not utterly cut and ripped, yet has fairly defined muscular features. This, however, tends to be hidden under his Jedi robes. The best way, all in all, to describe the man’s build would be to say he is of a medium build.
Eye color: A rather dark and piercing blue.
Hair: Long dirty blonde hair that extends just past shoulder-length. He also has a light stubble beard and mustache with a more filled-out goatee area.
Personality: Kind, gentle, amiable to a fault. Solis is the epitome of serenity, imperturbable and calm almost always. Even in battle, Solis can be seen with a look of pure calm and almost peacefulness. The man has not once been seen enraged, upset, or even unhappy.
Appearance: Solis tends to wear simple Jedi Master robes, done mostly in earth tones: Browns, tans, and beiges. However, in times of battle, and during important council meetings, Solis has a stark black-and-white set of robes that are inlaid with a mesh of various alloys, including a light layer of cortosis weave that can help to repel lightsaber damage, though only to such an extent where the smallest of glances blows are repelled. Solis also wears two stud earring in his left ear, one silver, and one obsidian black. They are there to remind him that neither the Light nor Dark side is ever far, and there is only the smallest of lines between them.
Master: Under Luke’s New Jedi Order, the Master/Apprentice practice had been lessened somewhat, allowing an upcoming Jedi to be trained by multiple Masters. Though many stuck to the old ways and only studied under one Master, Solis went to a few different masters in order to fully flesh out his training in the Jedi ways, including Corran Horn for tactics and planning, Kyle Katarn for lightsaber training, and even the venerated Luke Skywalker himself to advance his training in usage of the Force.
In addition to learning under those Masters, Solis also worked on perfecting his lightsaber skills, learning new ones and polishing his old ones with his friend Marth Harlot.
Lightsaber: Solis, under the tutelage of Corran Horn, constructed a dual-phase lightsaber, much like Corran's. It has a plain, silver hilt with a black rubber grip, the most noticable difference being that the upper fourth of the saber's hilt is a distinct separate piece from the lower three-fourths. The pommel of the saber angles out form the bottom half of a triangle, while the tip of the hilt is slightly rounded into a type of cup-shape. The top fourth of the grip, the separate piece, is also a bit wider around than the rest.
Where the two-piece, dual-phase design comes into play is this: While originally, Solis's lightsaber emits a normal length, emerald-colored hue, at the twist of the upper hilt, the gem inside the saber is switched, and the saber's blade becomes a deep viridian color and almost doubles in length. However, Solis almost exclusively uses the normal, lighter-green focusing gem, and only a few have ever seen him use the longer saber.
Lightsaber Form: Though Solis prefers to use his lightsaber as a last resort in any sort of conflict, he nonetheless had underwent training in multiple forms, so as to be prepared for any threat. However, he is most familiar and comfortable with Form III, Soresu. Its defensive, passive nature is something he fully agrees with, and has learned it to the point of perfection, becoming one of the foremost masters of Form III at the Academy. Also, however, Solis is fairly proficient with the techniques of what is considered the ‘training’ form, Form I, Shii-Cho.
Above all, though, Solis is very confident in his understanding of so-called “Form Zero,” the knowledge of when NOT to use a lightsaber.

History: Solis Fay’den was born on Dantooine, and was found to be Force-sensitive at a very young age. His parents, two simple farmers, knew from the way the child acted that he was destined to be more than a regular farmboy. His calm, almost serene nature, and his inability to become mad, as well as his love for all things living, set him apart from the nature of many other people his parents knew, them included. Thus, when a Jedi Knight happened to be passing through on a personal journey, the two implored the Knight to take him back to the Academy. The Knight agreed, and bidding his family farewell, young Solis left to become a Jedi at age seven.
At the Academy, Solis turned out to be just the natural that his parents had predicted. It was almost as if he had embodied the Jedi code without even knowing it, thus, the principles of the Jedi, and, as such, most Light-Side abilities, came like second nature. That, combined with his natural sense of studiousness and genuine interest in learning, made him a star pupil in all of his classes. He was, however, a bit hesitant during lightsaber sparring sessions, not wishing to hurt his partner, even with sabers tuned to ‘sparring mode’.
It was during one of these sparring sessions that he met the one who would soon become his closest and best friend, Marth Harlot. Solis, though he put up a strong fight, was eventually beaten by Marth, who was one of the Academy’s top saber duelists, not only for his age, but for all the surrounding ages, as well. However, where Marth was used to angry and upset opponents, refusing to so easily accept their loss, Solis astounded him by his calm acceptance and understanding of his loss. When Marth asked, Solis merely replied, “You are the victor, my friend, and much more talented in your ability with the lightsaber. You should be commended for your skills.” Intrigued by this serene youth, Marth would spend more time with Solis, and the two would eventually become best friends, Marth’s hot-headed and passionate ideals perfectly complimenting Solis’s calm, almost detached view of the world. They were both incredibly talented, and quickly rose through the ranks of Jedi Trainees.
Their future, however, was going to far from the simplicity that their training had been...
[See the Prelude for more information on Solis and Marth.]
Strengths: Solis is an undisputed Master of the Force, able to commune with it in ways few other Jedi can even dream of. As such, there are few, if any, people alive who can compete with him in sheer bouts of Force. He is also a master of defense, weaving almost an impenetrable web with his lightsaber that many weapons can not break through. Plus, his natural state of calm serenity, enhanced through training and understanding of the Light Side, make him near-impossible to anger and attempt to turn to the Dark Side. He is, basically, an embodiment of every principle of the Jedi Code and the Light Side of the Force.
Weaknesses: Solis’s main weakness is his lack of offense, both in battle and on a grand scale. Not only does he stay on the defensive in a fight almost one hundred percent, even in large wars, Solis will never form a pre-emptive attack, and only even counter-attacks in the most important of circumstances when using his judgment alone. His pacifistic nature causes him to want to never even draw his saber against another human being. Lastly, while he understands the concepts of many Dark Side powers, he has vowed to stay as far away from them as possible, and as such, has not even a basic understanding in the use of any of them.
