OOC: If no replies are made by tomorrow I'll simply continue this with another post
"Coming out of hyperspace now." Said the pilot of the Lambada Class shuttle Jyo and His master were using as their current transport. "Master now that we are here I was wondering. Why are we coming here to Naboo? I was never tols." Jyo said.
Valius looked at his pupil. "Apparently no Jedi have visited Naboo in quite some time. The planet is in doubt as to wether or not the Jedi even acknowlade the planet. I volenteered us for this mission as it will be good for you to finally have some diplomatic experiance." Said Valius. Jyo nodded and then leaned against the wall of the shuttle. He wasn't much into these matters. but then again this was something that needed to be done. And if it could help set the people of Naboo's minds at ease. Well he would find this something very worthwhile to have done.
The shuttle landed outside the palace about ten minutes later and Valius walked out with Jyo to his rightand slightly behind him. They had no reception comittee which Jyo foud odd. As many planets did such things with these sort of matters. "Master I notice nobody here. Is that a custom for this planet?" he asked. Valius shook his head. "No. Either there is trouble. Which I cannot detect. or the comittee is simply late." he said but keeping a wary focus on the situation.

OOC: Same deal as last post. If nobody responds in a couple of days I'll just get to the next part.
"I would say the first possibility is the most likely." Said Jyo suddenly reaching for his lightsaber while his eyes narowed in concentration. His master suddenly felt the ripples in the force and activated his weapon bringing it up just as a blaster bolt was about to hit him. The bolt was deflected off to the side spattering against a piller for a building nearby.
Jyo focused on the source of the shot heading over slowly with his saber held for deflection. Then a blast came his way and was parried off to the side as a cloaked figure walked out. "Well this didn't go the way I had planned. Not surprising with people like you. I'm not going to stretch this out. I'm a bounty hunter. I intercepted the call and changed the docking schedual." He said with a trace of smugness in his voice as he aimed the blaster at Jyo. "The younger on first I think." He said and started to fire but Valius leapt at the man slashing downwards with his saber.
But the bounty hunter held a surprise. He lifted his free hand with his forearm in the lightsaber's path. Valuis looked shocked. The man was going to willingly lose his arm. But then the lightsaber made contact and shorted out. Valius looked even more shocked. "Cortosis ore. Like it? After all I wouldn't hunt you Jedi down without knowing how to defend myself." He said and fired at Jyo.
Jyo parried the bolt away and Valius thrust his hand out. The blaster was pulled to him but not out of the bounty hunter's hand. "Hah. locked gauntlet. By the way. It's also cortosis ore." He said with a sneer. The sneer faded as Jyo leapt at the man with his saber ready to lash out. the bounty hunter sighed and aimed to fire. But then Jyo threw his saber. it swirled around getting past the blaster aiming for the hood hiding the man's head. The bounty hunter was no fool. he dived to the side glaring at the young man. But a though crosed his head. the saber was still going strait out. The boy could have made it curve with his powers. There was something else going on. And then it hit him. Literally. Valuis had taken the moment to decide how to deal with him. he felt himself being tugged by an invisibal grip then flung at a wall. the impact was not enought o kill him. but enough to knock him out.
"Master is it over?" Jyo asked walking up and clipping his lightsaber back onto his belt. "Yes it is. Thank you for the diversion." Valius said as they approched the unconsious bounty hunter. "Odd. I wonder who would hire a bounty hunter just for us. Of course there is another thing to it....." Jyo thought for a second. "Oh yeah. He said he intecepted a message. Mabey it was just because we are jedi. perhapes someone out there has a personal grudge against the order in general. There are plenty of candidates" Jyo said.
Valuius nodded as he checked the bounty hunter for any form of identification. "Hmm nothing here to tell us who he is. Smart man. So many people in his line of buisness can be identified very quickly." Said Velius. He was about to say more but was cut off by a sound. "Ahh it sounds like the committee has arrived. Hopefully the local authorities as well." Said Velius.

While they waited for the ship's the pulled the man's hood down. It revealed a handsome face which was slightly scarred from something. Probably from a knife fight. He had shoulder length dark hair. He was clearly human. Dark skinned with a face that suggested a lean body under the armour.
Jyo looked at Valius. "Master something's bothering you. What is it?" Jyo asked curiously. Valius shook his head. "I'll tell you later Jyo. After these talks. It's not something I want you concerned with until we've talked to these people." Valius said with still keeping his voice pleasent but with a finality that let Jyo know there was no room for argument.
Soon the bounty hunter was restrained. His gauntlet couldn't come off unless he did so. Meaning the blaster was still in his hand but the power pack had been removed. Jyo and Valius ket watch over them as they wee brought to the palace of Naboo.
Several hours later after consuling the people of Naboo Jyo met with Valuis on the landing pad where they waited for thier ship. "Master. What is it you had to say?" Jyo said. Valius sighed. "Jyo I could sense ripples of the force in that bounty hunter. They were faint and he hid them during the encounter. I'm sure you now know what upsets me." Valius said. Jyo nodded. "So he's had contact with the Sith at some level. At least to be able to mask such a presence." Jyo said. Valius nodded. "Yes it seems things may be heating up. i don't think the man was even a bounty hunter at all. Nor do I think he was a full Sith. After all he had no lightsaber. Also....." Valius was distracted by a loud alarm. "Attention. The Bounty Hunter caught this afternoonn at the spaceport has escaped. This is a palace-wide alert. the bounty hunter is loose." A voice said over the P.A. system. Jyo looked at his master and Valius nodded. "I have his presence tracked. he's heading for the hangers." He said and the two Jedi began running after their quarry.
The man had put his hood back up and was running through the palace halls. "Damn. This went all wrong. No way they could have defeated me like that. Well I guess I underestimated them. Time to fight fire with fire." He said releasing the gun and then slapping a button conceled at his waist. A side panel on his leg armour opened and revealed a lightsaber. "Let them come after me now. I will show them what the force is." he said with a manical glint in his eyes as he tore the hood from his head revealing that his eyes were bloodshot and the pupils were slightly red mixed in with bright blue.
Valius stopped dead in his tracks an gasped. "Master what is it?" Jyo asked looking at Valius and stopping as well. "The man is a Sith. Powerful as well. I Feel he is ready to simply wait and confront us. Jyo this will be a hard test. I know it is your first encounter with a Sith so be warned. He knows you are a padawan. he'll try to turn you. Just keep calm and focused." Said valius beggining to run again. Jyo started following and nodded.
They soon reached the hanger and there was the Sith standing before them. He had gotten rid of the claok that once covered his armour. Now it was clear his was fully armoures besides his head. "Greetings Jedi. Glad you could make it. I'm not going to bother talking much. The simple facts are this. you Jedi. All of you. Are a threat to my plans. I have to dispose of you. And i'm not inclined to share such plans with you as you die today." he said and leapt at Jyo igniting his red lightsaber. he slashed downwards with both hands aiming to cleave the padawan. Jyo dived to the right and ignited his own weapon to parry the attack even further away from himself.
Valius leapt over Jyo with his Lightsaber blazing a path to the Sith's head. The armoured man swung his own weapon to intercept Valius' attack and then he pushed outwards to shove Valius off of him. "Oh yes I own you for such a humiliating defeat. Ganted it was my own blunder to underestimate you. But that is beside the point. I'll show you how weak you really are." He said slashing at Valius aiming for his chest. Valius rose the lightsaber handel upwards and pointed the blade down to block the attack. He then pushed the blade away spinning with an upward slash when he faced his foe again. The Sith had already called on the force and Jumped away using a backflip.
Jyo leapt up to match The Sith in the air attacking with a stabbing motion at the man's head. the Sith chuckled and swatted Jyo's lightsaber away and held his hand out pushing Jyo away with the force sending him plummetng to the ground. Jyo landed on his feet in a crouch and looked up the see the Sith lord coming down with his saber held ready for attack. Jyo got ready for him Just because you have all that armour doesn't mean there aren't weak points. Like joints. Jyo thought as he spotted what he was looking for. His left arm flew out with the lightsaber stabbing right into the joint at the Sith's hip. The man slashed at Jyo nearly taking down the padaan. the blade drew a mark across his left eye. A few inched closer in and Jyo would have lost the eye. Not just some skin from his brow and cheek.
The Sith collapsed to the ground not able to move. He threw his lightsaber at jyo as the boy staggered back. But the blade was blocked by a green beam of light. Valius had intercepted the attack. "Excellent job Jyo." He said using the force to pull the Sith's lightsaber to his own grip and clipped it to his belt. "Now surrender and tell us your name." Said Valius. The Sith chuckled. "Well you have earned my name. I am Darth Strago. But as for surrendering. Well.." He trailed off bringing a small control box out. "I think not." He said pressing a button and one of the ships fired out a blaster bolt landing between the two Jedi sending them back into some crates. The Sith used the force to push off on his good leg and land painfully in the cockpit. "Farewel Jedi Scum. But this isn't over." he said as the canopy slide closed and he flew away.
Jyo got up and looked for his master. He saw Valius getting up looking at the ship wich was now a speck in the distance. "What now master?' He asked. "We go back home and I shall report this. " he said but then smiled. "I was serious about the compliment. You are showing a calmness and resourcefulness I would not expect from one your age. Many battles drag out much longer. You have made things quite a bit different. Worry not about this Dart Strago. For now you still have your training to focus on when we get back." Valius said. Jyo sighed and nodded. He knew that even if they were not the ones assigned to do something about this man. it would still be dealt with. For now they would just wait for their ship to take them back to the academy.

"What a joke..."
Kaltos should've known that this farce of a Force User wasn't going to stack up. He had met the kid outside of the Korriban temble after his little 'meeting' with his latest benefactor. He seemed eager to fight the Jedi, and with this sentiment, Kaltos couldn't be more in agreement. Thus, the slightly older man came up with an idea.
He wouldn't fight another Jedi hand to hand like he had already, just yet. But he WOULD dress up another Jedi in trapping quite like his, to see how the force-using scums would fare against someone like him. From the looks of things, however, it seemed not even another Force User was up to the task of 'being' Deryn Kaltos.
He had watched the entire proceedings from a holoproj unit he had instilled within the Dark Jedi's armor, shaking his head at the mention of his name.
"Darth Strago, my ass," Kaltos said with disgust, listening to that foolish boy's rantings. "He's hardly the calibre of the Sith I met on Korriban. It'll be a cold day in hell if he ever makes it as a true Sith. In fact... I should see to that, myself... he'll be here soon."
Sure enough, the ship flew in, coming to a stop at the landing pad, where Kaltos was sitting with his own ship. Darth Strago emerged, limping, heading over to Kaltos with a rather unpleasant look on his face.
"Now, look, hunter, I've tested them... and they were found to be better than I expected. Your gauntlets were a fine idea, but-"
"Enough," Kaltos said, not wanting to hear any more excuses from the Force User. "It's quite alright. All this was, was a test. For you."
"For... for me? I thought it was-"
"I said to be quiet."
"You don't have any right telling me what to do, Hunter," Darth Strago suddenly cut in with visible malice. "Do not forgot who can still wield the Force around here. You are nothing more than a pathetic mortal, what can you do to me should I refuse to listen?"
Deryn thought about this for a moment, finally resigning with a long sigh. "You've got a point, Strago. You win." Kaltos shook his head, clearly disappointed with this turn of events. It seemed that it would always be like this, having to bow at the hands of those who wielded the Force. "You want another shot at them? Do you even have a lead on where they're going?"
"They will likely report their findings back at the Academy."
"Then you'd best get back there before they find their way back."
"There is the matter of my lightsaber..."
"Ah, right. They took it. Here," Kaltos said, reaching to his utility belt and producing a very long, cylindrical object. "Take this one, then." He held it out straight, the open end facing him, his index and middle fingers over the other end.
"Ah, much better. This I can-GUH!!" Darth Strago's eyes widened with shock and pain as Kaltos's fingers suddenly lifted from the end they were covering, and his pinky finger depressed the activation plate, revealing the other end of the double-bladed lightsaber that quickly and effortlessly pierced through the chink in the midsection of his armor. "Y-you... double-crosser."
"You're a Sith. It's what your kind do. Deal with it." Kaltos released the activation plate, and Darth Strago slumped to his knees, then on his face, slowly dying from the gaping hole in his stomach, making rather ungainly gurgling noises. "Oh come on, would you just-"
Activating one side of the saber again, Kaltos quickly brought it down across Strago's neck, decapitating him and silencing him for good. Quickly, Kaltos boarded his own vehicle, pilotiing it up into the air and taking it on a quick trip cross-planet.
Not long after, he landed at the hangar in which Jyo and his master were waiting. Taking a long, deep breath, the man loaded his weapons, two heavy blasters at each thigh holster, a holdout blaster in his vest, and the combat knife in his boot. Finally, as a finishing touch, he took his Arkanian Assault Rifle and slung it over his back, and ejected the vibroknife from his right gauntlet in favor the dual-edge lightsaber. There, it would be hidden from sight, only able to be released upon Deryn's command, should things go out of hand. Now, finally loaded to the teeth, Deryn felt ready to come out to greet the Jedi. One last long sigh, trying to find the calm to do this civilly.
The hatch opened, and Kaltos strode out, looking around carefully, with a cautious eye. Seeing the Jedi, he hailed them, walking over and being as genial as he could muster, despite his fierce hatred for all who carried the lightsaber.
"Hello there, Masters Jedi. I heard about a rogue Bounty Hunter roaming these parts and came by assess the situation. Being a fellow Hunter myself, it's, well... it's bad for business, should one get out of hand and start going after things besides rightful bounties, you know?"
Kaltos smiled as genuinely as possible, before continuing once more.
"All I'm asking, really, is if there is any assistance I could lend to your efforts to find him."

"Jyo I need to take care of a few things back at the Palace. Wait here for the ship and tell them I'll be a little while." Said Valius leaving. Jyo shrugged and waited like his master tols him to. His eyes narrowed after a few minutes. Something seems wrong. I wonder what? He thought as he stood there fixing his mind on what was bothering him.
He was still thinking when the doors to the hanger slid open again. Jyo turned to see who it was and saw a man a decent amount olderthan himself but still much younger than his master walk in. He spoke as if he had first expected two of them. Not too suspicious as jedi normally travled in pairs now. What Stuck out to the padawan was the hate coming from the man. Even with his small grasp on such detection it was clear.
But still the man acted civil and professional. So Jyo simply stayed alert for now. "I thank you for your offer but I am simply waiting for a ship. As for another bounty hunter. he's left for now. I'm surprised you don't make a price for assisting us find him. Though I am not in the position to accept such an offer. If the man is to be tracked down it is not up to me." Jyo said.

"Well, young sir, I couldn't in all honesty demand a price on a mark with no bounty, now, could I?" Deryn forced a laugh at his Jedi mark. The situation was already looking bad. Even with the older one gone, this was already much too frontal of a situation, much too frontal for Deryn's tastes.
"As I've said, if a Hunter is acting outside of the regulations set forth by our guild, it's usually wise for one of the rest of us to, well, 'teach him the rules', as the case may be, if you catch my vapor trail. Although... perhaps, if a Jedi were to assist in bringing this one in to justice, steps could be made for a better standing between our world and yours? Goodness knows the Jedi and the Bounty Hunter's Guild have rather strained relations as is, as... unfortunate as that may be."
Deryn let the words hang in the air, looking to see if this young Jedi would take the bait. Hopefully the chance of doing good in the eyes of the council would be enough lure to bring him out to a more inhospitable place... somewhere were Kaltos could make his move...

Jyo's eyes narrowed this time. "As honorable as the guilde might be. Justice isn't ther's to decide. At least not now. I have my instructions not to get caught up in this matter unless I am assinged to it or forced into it. And I plan to follow my master's wishes." Jyo said. he coulds sense something else now. The man was wanting something. Trying to get Jyo to do something. But he had to blame himself for not takeing time to develope such things in the force. Later I'm cutting off lightsaber training and I am definalty going to train in other aspects. He thought as he stood there.
"I am sorry for turning this down. It is true our respective groups do not always see eye to eye. But I can always take such an offer to the council. They coul help you more than myself. I doubt they'd have me be the one chasing down the... Bounty hunter." Jyo had almost slipped and said Sith. He didn't know why but revealing what the man was didn't seem the best opton right now. He had been told to listen to his instinct. And the force was now his instinct so he listend to it sure that he was making the right choice.

"Now on this matter, young sir, I believe you are mistaken," Kaltos said on the matter of who was to dispense 'justice', holding up a finger in objection. In truth, he couldn't believe this Jedi, spouting out even this small amount of their usual tripe. What did they even know about justice? Was it 'Justice' that decided them to try and shut down Kaltos munitions? Was it 'Justice' that drove them to murder his family just because they had legally avoided their injuction attempts? Deryn began to shake ever-so-slightly with anger.
"On the contrary, if this Bounty Hunter truly has broken the rules of our Guild, then should not we, the makers of said rules, be the ones to set things right? The Jedi deal with peace on such a large scale, it would certainly be more upon we simple Hunters to deal with our own kind, would it not?"
'And maybe you damn Jedi can keep your prying little fingers to yourselves for once,' Deryn added mentally, but did not speak out loud.
"As for your assistance, that is quite fine, I understand. I do not know much, regrettably, of your customs and orders, but if one is meant to follow orders without question, even if possibly more worthwhile ventures come about, then I shall not be the one to try and sway you, good sir." Kaltos gave a small, curt nod at this. He knew he had spoken too long, played his act far too much, and would not be able to hold it any longer.
"In any case, then, have you the slightest idea where this Hunter had gone? Perhaps you have a lead I can follow up on?"

"Perhapes you are right. I'm not much of a diplomat. If it's only a case against the guild you are worried abut. Then the legal system the republic has set up is most likely void. But still Unless the man becomes a widescale threat then I doubt the council with be involved. As for where he went. I'm sure he went to the hangers. My master said it would be best to follow up on him before going after him again." Jyo said casually. The anger was much more present in the man. "Pardon my asking but you seem very upset. Perhapes there is something I could help you with." He said raising an eyebrow.

Busted.
Poodoo.
In all of Kaltos's rage, he had forgotten how adept most Jedi were at sensing emotions. Now he was going to have a hell of a time explaining it, especially considering the generally polite nature of his actions and reactions thus far. Losing his actor's composure, and looking suddenly visibly shaken over the situation, Deryn thought for a quick moment before answering.
"Well, you see, sir, it's, ah, just... that damn Hunter, you know? So many of us go about trying to make an honest living, staying mostly to criminals and your average fare of space-scum that gets bounties called on 'em. But from what I hear, this one's been targeting bigger game, marks that ain't never done anything to deserve a bounty. It just ain't right, y'know? I guess that's what's gotten me so shaken... and why I really want to just get 'im." Deryn took a long, low breath, glad he was able to pull that one out of his rear-hatch quickly enough.
Or at least, he hoped it was quick enough.
"Ya think he hit the hangars, eh?" Kaltos spoke up once more, after a few moments of breathing to catch his composure from his passonate outburst. "Thanks for the tip, sir. I'll make my way out there now." With another curt bow, Kaltos finally made his way to his ship once more, taking to the pilot's seat and firing up the machine. This mission was a bust, there would be no taking of the Jedi this time. As he flew out of this particular hangar, however, he saw something that opened up the slightest window of opportunity.
If he could not defeat the Jedi here, he could, at the very least, stall them. And any blow against the Jedi, regardless of how petty, was good enough for Deryn.
He caught sight of the Lambda cruiser coming in on a slow descent towards the hangar bay. Taking a route perpendicular to it, Deryn sighted the vessel's hyperspace engines. Taking aim, Deryn fired the lasers on his ship, scoring a sudden, direct hit on the engines. The machine would falter, but any decently skilled-pilot would be able to bring it to a relatively safe landing inside the hangar. The hyperdrive engines, however, would be shot, stranding the Jedi on Naboo until another ship would arrive.
Deryn quickly exited the atmosphere as fast as he could, smiling darkly to himself. Whether that Jedi pieced two and two together was of no concern. Even if he did, Kaltos would be far off the planet by then, already heading out in search of more marks in which to deal with.

Jyo largely doubted the man's story. nothing matched up. Even the most honorable bounty hunters tended to have a limited amount of expression for their emotions. Normally they were seasoned men who had been able to control such anger to keep their heads clear. This man had an uncontrollable age underneath and seemed to be trying too hard.
"Sir I regret to say things don't match up. If you still wish to go after this man then feel free to do so. I hope whatever is upsetting you will be taken care of soon. And I am sorry I cannot help you further." He said with a politness to his tone. but the other part of the tone was clear. Jyo knew something was up and didn't want a fight. he was creating a chance to avoid such confrontation if the man didn't take things further with him.
Jyo watched the man go and waited for his ship. he saw a shuttle coming down. Then another craft fired on it. Jyo didn't know too much about ships. But he noticed the hyperdrive was what got hit. The pilot brought the ship down relativly unharmed and Jyo rushed to see how he could help. During this time he kept an eye on the skies. He wondered if the bounty hunter might be involved. The man was clearly upset and the timing was about right after all. Jyo decided he'd tell valius about it. His master would at least be able to give him some insight.
