"Wow Jyo's gotten better." Said one of the younglings watching Jyo and a few other Padawans duel with the practice sabers. Jyo had been effortlessly deflecting his opponet's attacks. He had made a few attacks and some counters. but was on the offense the whole time. The other Padawan who was slightly older than Jyo was getting tired of the boy playing with him.
"You know Jyo. What you're doing is almost taunting. I didn't think that was something you did." Said the older boy. Jyo shook his head. "Not playing. Observing. You use different forms then I do. I'd like to learn them at some point. And how better than to see them in use." he said as The older boy ran at him jumping into the air flipping forward and slashing down. Jyo spun around knocking the blade aside and then lunged forward executing a Shiak aiming for the chest. the blow struck home as the padawan landed. Sending the boy reeling with a short gasp.
"You're good. I'm glad to have faced you again. Jyo said clipping his weapon to his belt and then helping his fallent opponet up to his feet. "Here let's get you to a chair or something." He said and led the other to a place to sit. "Well it was an interesting duel. Mabey when we try again you'll beat me again." jyo said shrugging and then walked back to the training gorunds.

A stranger watches two padawans dueling. She leans against a post waiting for the red-haired padawan to finish his bout with his less-skilled opponent. When the duel ends the stranger walks near the boy, who is just entering the training area. "Jyo, Master Chang sent me to ask you something. He said that you might not understand at first, but that you would need little time to understand. My name is Natal." Natal, the stranger said in a low tone, so as to keep most others from hearing.

Jyo turned around. He came face to face with a woman. Still young. But clearly older than himself. He had been feeling an odd pressure through the force for a while. Something he hadn't felt before. It was clear that this woman was the source of it. She spoke something of a master Chang wishing to ask him something. He wondered what it could be. There was no threat he could detect. but of course this part of the force was not something he was as adept in yet.
"Well Natal it is a pleasure to meet you." he said giving a bow as he often did to people he met. "I would of course be happy to speak with master Chang. lease lead the way." he said.

Natal smiled, thinking, ~Well, he's being awfully cooperative for a Jedi with no idea of whom he is to meet. I wonder if knoes just how notorious Master Chang is in the inner circles.~ "Follow me please, Jyo, and you shall meet my Master." She says, putting emphasis on the words 'my Master' and grinning with only slight evil glee in her eyes. Natal turns away and walks towards the doors leading to the enterance to the Academy.

Jyo raised an eyebrow at that last bit. it was clear this woman was not of the dark side. But not of the light either. Still his curiousity overrode any sense of fear of any sort. He wanted to see what was going on. Besides. He would be able to sense direct danger before it reached him. And on a planet full of Jedi he couldn't feel much safer. He followed Natal with a casual walk that did not betray his thoughts.

Natal leads Jyo out of the Academy, and down the main lane. She walks about a mile down the main road before coming to an Inn, and walking around the back of the Inn, and through an ally. Natal turns to look at Jyo with a look on her face like she's weighing him with her eyes. "I think you should wait here, Jyo. I will be back soon."Natal states, looking Jyo in the eyes as if willing him to say he won't. She turns her back on him, blocking his veiw of her hands, which are currently moving quickly while pushing on certain blocks. A door slides open in the wall in front of her.

Interesting. I wonder why he master wouldn't be at the Academy. Oh well. Even without the others i can handle myself. I can at least get to safty if things go bad. i'd rather avoid a true problem. He thought. he wasn't feeling any particular hostility towards him still. Though he could tell this was somthing strange and something he had too see through to the end if he could.
The young Jedi was then told to wait. he decided he might as well do so. "Very well." he said simply and crossed his arms putting his hands in the sleeves opposite of each other

Natal smiles to herself at Jyos' compliance to her wishes, thinking, "Maybe he'll be usefull after all." She walks into the door, and down a corridor, out of sight of Jyo. She emerges five minutes later followed by what looks to be an old human male. Natal turns to face the mansaying,"I have brought him for you Master." While she says this she bows formally, never looking away from her masters' eyes. She turns back to Jyo," This is my Master, Master Chang," she says quietly.

Jyo looked at the old man standing before him. His power in the fore was very clear. Jyo knew this was a man who had spent a liftime mastering the ways of the Force. He couldn't detect any stirrings of light or dark presence. Much like his apprentice who had led him here. Jyoalso noted that if Master Chang ment him harm in some way there was now little to nothing he could do about it.
Nevertheless he bowed respectfully and looked back. His piercing eyes bore into the Master's. "Greetings master Chang. Since you have requested my presence I have respected your wishes. It is an honor to meet a master of the force." He said with a respectful tone.

Master Chang smiled,"Thank you, Padawan. My Apprentice has been very rude not to offer you some shelter from the coming rain. Please, follow me." Master Chang turned back the way he came, and signaled for Jyo and Natal to do the same. "Would you like some tea, Master?" Natal asked quietly. "No, thank you. Jyo, I called you here to ask what you know of Isus Jarode. Anything you know would be good, even if it doesn't help much." The wisened old man said. After a few seconds of silence Natal, Jyo, and Master Chang walked into a dark room of moderate size, with one couch(green), and two chairs(green and blue striped both).

Jyo wondered at the comment of how Chang referred to Natal. It didn't seem the way a master would refere to the apprentice. At least in the Jedi's way. Clearly the man was no of either order for if he was of the dark side Jyo would know by now. He let the man lead him to another room and then the purpose he was brought here came to light.
Now it makes sense. they ar "Grey Jedi" of niether the light or dark side of the force. He thought. He stayed standing despite the chairs and spoke. "Actually my knowlagde of the man is very limited. Almost nothing. I have only heard of him before. never have I met him. I know he is allied with te Jedi orer. But not a part of it. A "Grey Jedi" If you will. much like I assume you and Natal are. I doubt he'd mind being asked about himself. You should come to the Academy to ask him youself as all I know is what I've said. I could speak with my master on your behalf and probably get accomidations at the Academy for you. I am sorry I cannot be of more help than that. But keep in mind my position is still only that of a student. my knowladge of the others at the Academy is limited still. Not to mention those outside of it." He said.

Master Chang smiled at the comment Jyo made about them being 'grey Jedi' since it was true. " We appreciate your willingness to help. Even though your information is scant, you have been helpful. Please have some tea. Natal, the rasberry please."Chang said with a small smile quirking his lips. "As you will, Master." Natal said quietly, she departed through a curtained doorway, returning quickly with three cups of tea, placing them on a table hidden by the arm of the couch, and the chair next to it. "Please be seated, Jyo." Natal said as her elder Master took a seat on the couch. Natal walked over to a shelf and pulled down an old holo-book. "Jyo, did you know that Natal was once a Padawan, much like yourself? Yes, she was once very much like you. Deturmined, intelligent, and hard-working. She left when she was a Padawan, and in only a few short years found me, convinced me to be her Master, and here we are, nine years later. Back on the planet she left so long ago. After so long together, she is like a daughter to me. Were anything to happen to her, well, we'll just say pain will ensue. Either she will cause it when she is feeling better, or if she is unable to... They won't survive. You should really sit and try the tea." Master Chang said. Natal looked up from her book, "It's already raining, Jyo, you might as well stay a little while, and visit." Natal stated quietly, taking a seat next to her Master.

Jyo bowed and took a seat in one of the chairs and listend to Master Chang. The past between he and Natal interested the young Padawan. He wondered what the old Master was implying if anything by relating him to natal. He decided to let things unfold though and see what happend. "Interesting. I rarely hear of such a bond between master and padawan." he said raising an eyebrow looking between the two of them. In the position described to him he really wasn't surprised by such a relationship. He took a sip of the tea. It was clear natal made tea often. "Very good. my thanks. i haven't really had anything to drink today and was training when Natal found me." he said and listend hearing the rain fall. "And with the weather I would appriciate such kind hospitality." he said

Natal smiled demurely,"I am glad the tea is to your liking." she said quietly. ~When will Master allow me to disect someone again?~Natal thought, bored with the idol banter. "Natal, our guest appears to be in need of a re-fill." Chang said quietly, to which the only responce was Jyo glass being refilled by a floating tea kettle. Natal smirked slightly at the raised eyebrow from Jyo, but quickly squelched it when seeing the look from Master Chang. "Would you like to play a game of chess, youngling?" The old man asked his guest politely. It was obvious that Chang intended Natal to practice her skills at chess with someone other than himself, for once.

Jyo raised an eyebrow. "Chess you say. Very interesting. I dn't run across many others who know of the game anymore. My master Velius introduced me to the game. i would greatly enjoy matching my stratagies with another." he said with a nod. Jyo was finding Chang and his apprentice very interesting. The encounter had shifted from asking about a person he knew very little about to a game of chess. It was seeming they were finding an interest in him now. Though this fed the young padawan's curiousity greatly so he found no reason not to go along with this.
