We could REALLY go for some more non-Jedi in this place.
I mean, I know, it's Star Wars, so let's be a Jedi, but I want to stress that we have two character sheets, one for Force users and one for Regular People. And so far, we've got ONE semi-somewhat active non-Jedi on our board.
I think we need more.
Now, some of you may be thinking "But why play a regular shmoe when I can choke people with my mind?" I know, it's a hard question to answer. But look at it this way: Have you noticed that, while the rules and regulations on Force-using characters are SO strict (Limited Force Power gain through RPing, Rank-ups through RPing, and the like), the regulations on non-Force using characters aren't anywhere near that? The switch was designed so that, while Force users get to tap into the awesome power of the Force, Non-Force users wouldn't have to. You have COMPLETE creative control over a Non-Force Character. Wanna make a bounty hunter that's completely loaded to the teeth with weapons that come out of his battle armor? Do it! Want to make an Imperial Remnant General that has an entire contingent of Stormtroopers at his side at damn near all times? Go for it! When you're a Jedi, you're stuck at a Padawan/Acolyte with no real freedom to be how you want and have what you want. As a non-Jedi, those boundaries don't exist.
So before you make your character, think about making a regular guy instead of a Jedi. It's not required in any way, but it would help to round out the variety of the board.
And y'know, just help the process, I'm opening the floor for all my current members. Why did you choose to be a Jedi? Was there something that made being a Non-Jedi unappealing to you, or did you simply want to wield the Force and a 'saber? If you have any suggestions on what YOU would like to see on Non-Force characters to make them more appealing, do not hesitate to reply to this and let me know.
