She listened as he spoke about not understanding what she liked about him. She smiled he really didn't know anything about himself. But she couldn't complain because really in her own mind she had nothing to offer him. She was a hyper very open girl that spoke her mind and was probably rather annoying over all.
"Then I will tell you." she said with a smile. He was still looking up at the sky but she.. well her attention was focused on him and him alone.
"First of all your quietness is rather welcoming. It's perfect. You are very firm in your beliefs that little speel when you went off on me about cherishing and being willing to give up your life for the cause it was just so perfect. I really saw your passions and your emotions. You don't hide how you feel. It's wonderful. I am honest to the point of annoyance but you are honest to the point of perfection." she told him. "Plus incase you haven't noticed you are a very handsome man."
That last line was whispered for effect. She was telling him the truth he would know that she wasn't one to hide things. It made her easier to stay in the light side when she didn't let things get to her and become a grudge.

Talmic digested the words and blushed, yes for once Talmic blushed, at the whispered words that came his way. So she thought he was just the right kind of honest huh? There was a new one, his honest to a bearable pint, not likely. He was very loose with his emotions, often times to the point where if he had any rage, it came out as a burst of screaming to himself about something. Talmic was by no means a perfect Jedi, but he was in control of himself, and he never held a grudge, never felt jealousy, and as of yet had yet to feel hatred. No he may get angry, but he never let it stay, choosing instead to let it out threw either saber practice or screaming in his private quarters.
"Well, thank you... very much. To be honest.. I've been finding you more and more attractive as well, and all I can say is, you're so unique I feel I have to get to know you more."
Talmic quickly pretended to be checking on his left side tunic, just making sure it was all smoothed out as she received the compliment he was about to receive.
"You're also beautiful, very beautiful."
The last part was a whisper, meant only for her ears an no one, not even if they searched for them, would hear that little line. Talmic still felt weird, dating in the academy was not smiled upon, more like hushed whispers of one soon joining the dark side. Oh well, people would need time to adjust to the aspect of love within the Jedi Order. Talmic was one of those that would need his time.
Fumbling with his right hand, which was locked with hers, he looked back over at her and gave her a weak smile, his best effort to show that he was having a good time, but he was still a bit uneasy with all of this.

Now it was her own turn to blush. In fact when he turned to offer her the smile her own face was bright red with her current blush. She smiled back at him and gave his hand a gentle squeeze to confirm that she too was having a very good time with him.
"Thank you." she whispered her blush still written on her face.
The blush slowly went away and she looked at him even more studying his every feature and studying the way she made him a bit nervous. Though it wasn't really her it was the love relationship she had started between them. But she was too happy to be with him his warm hand still clasping hers.
"I am very happy. Very happy you said we could have a chance. Very happy to have met you, be able to travel with you, and to get to know you better in the future." she admitted with a smile.

Taking a couple of deep breaths Talmic decided that what he needed right now was to clear his mind and figure out what exactly was going on inside himself. Sorting out his emotions now would be the best for all, and the best way for Talmic to prove to himself that two weeks of intensive Force training were paying off in the end. Of course if Talmic was to try and do that he should be sitting and meditating, but somehow he figured laying right here would keep the girl next to him happier.
Clearing out his throat and letting his eyes slip and remain closed Talmic took a few more deep breaths and then relaxed his entire body, his right hand laced with hers suddenly losing some of it's strength. So Talmic dove down into his very being and searched his feelings, trying to find whatever it was this girl was doing to him. He found happiness, in a small bit, he found his own anger at the kiss gone, now replaced more by worry. He promptly worked that out in his mind, telling himself that Jedi were allowed to love now, or else he wouldn't be here now. Then he worked out his fear of being yelled at, expelled, or even turned away from the light. Finally he sorted out his emotions of happiness and attraction t this girl. Yes he found her attractive, and yes he was a tad bit happier so to speak. Actual physical contact was becoming less and less of annoyance and the warmth of her hand in his gave him something to focused on to expand those emotions. That kiss had been wonderful, as much as he hated to admit it he did enjoy it.
Finally a heavy sigh and his eyes sliding open would end the brief meditation and his hand would once again gain some of it's strength back, gripping hers as it once had. He continued to stare up at the sun, his eyes still filtered and protected by the leaves of the Dantooine trees.
"You kissed me because you felt like it, if i' not mistaken. What else have you been feeling like doing? As you said, it's not good to keep it bottled up, and as slow as we take it, I want to know your true feelings about this. It's not good to keep things like passion locked up, for obvious reasons."

Val felt his hand loosen but not leave she looked over and noticed his eyes were shut and his breathing was more relaxed she saw all the signs of a meditative transe and so she didn't move or say a word but closed her own eyes letting the sun fall down upon her.
It was a long time yet before she felt even a stir out of the man next to her. She lay thinking about home and her family. She thought about her time at the academy and of how wonderful her day had been. Especially meeting Talmic what a stroke of luck. It may have been the force guiding both of them here she didn't know.. but suddenly his hand gripped hers again and he spoke.
"What do I want to do? Well kiss you several more times of course. I had planned to at least give you a hug when we were forced to part ways. I would like to feel your arms around me and sit in your lap. To cuddle and to hear you laugh. I would like to see you truly smile because you are happy and maybe even happy to be with me. This is as far as I have thought." she told him honestly blushing a lot as she stared into the sky.
"Is there anything you would like to do?" she asked.

At her words he shifted a bit uneasily, he could probably do the sitting together thing, he knew a kiss would not be happening, not on his end at least. He was still a bit scared of what all this meant, he was soon to become a Knight and then he could be more open, but as a Padawan he had to be careful with what he did and said, after all, this was the training stage, or at least heavy training stage, of his life. Distractions like love and a girlfriend could jeopardize that.
While Talmic didn't want to break up with this girl should it get deeper, he didn't want to become a Knight and all the sudden be dating a Padawan, that would look horrible to his record. What if she got re-assigned as is student? Oh god he was going to have to be careful with this, th implications all of it held were innumerable.
"I, I think I could do the sitting together thing, after all it' not like its nothing more than a constant hug really."
Talmic slowly sat up, sitting cross legged he gulped and pulled her closer, nearly into his lap, and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. With that simple action he had taken a huge step forward for himself and for his ideals.
"But you should know... I'm going to be taking my Trials soon, and after that i would be a Knight. I don;t think it would look good for a Knight and a Padawan to be dating, especially if you did eave your master and got assigned to me."

She smiled when he told her that he would be willing to hold her in his arms. When he sat up so did she though she could tell that he was very nervous. It was obvious this was all very new to him.
He pulled her closer. As close as any one could really be to another without actually sitting in his lap. She lay her head against his shoulder slowly and gently as she closed her eyes feeling him right next to her like this.
"I really don't think that will be a problem. Master Moore says I am ready and has gotten me prepared. If anything you may be a Knight a few weeks longer than myself." she told him with a gentle smile. "This feels really nice."

Talmic tensed up visibly at the contact this woman gave him. Her head merely resting on his shoulder was more than enough to have Talmic fidgeting with his free hand on his hip he ran over the blaster there a coupe times, idly flipping open and then closing the strap that held it in place. A single blaster, useful against only the stupidest of Jedi. Even so, should Talmic be asked to train he would have to decline for now, he had no saber after all.
"Oh.. yeah I guess it does actually. So you're really close to your knighthood as well? That's great, I mean.. that we can still see each other and everything... so what do you think is your biggest weak point?"
He was just trying to keep the small talk going so he could try to ignore the fact that this woman was leaning on him constantly now. He was trying his best not to pull away and it wasn't easy. Sure he was the one who had pulled her over, but he hadn't then expected this kind of reaction from her. Maybe he was to new to all of this for his own good.
Calm yourself Talmic, it's not like it's anything more than a close hug. Besides, if I don't kiss her it's nothing more than being a close friend. That's it, she's just a close friend right now.. although she did kiss me. No, I have to believe in my own mind, let the Force guide my action from here on out. If the Force guided me to this clearing then it guided me to... oh my. It led me right to her!

She could tell he was nervous. It was all too obvious in her mind just how nervous he was. Her eyes drifted down and saw his hand fiddling with his blaster cap. She hoped that her touches would eventually not cause such a reaction. She wanted him to be comfortable with her but she new that would take time.
He asked her about her greatest weakness and well that was pretty easy to assume she thought. She had many weaknesses as did every one. But one stood out above them all.
"I would have to say that my personality is my greatest weakness. I'm one of those people that like to give every one a fair chance before casting them off as good or evil. I think everyone has valuable traits as well as bad ones." she explained truthfully. "What about you? What is your greatest weakness?"

He didn't much care for her answer, if a Jedi contained dark traits then that was obviously something that the dark side could pull on... right? Maybe maybe not, but either way he was slightly annoyed with her answer, and it showed in the way he suddenly stopped playing with the blasters holster clip and turned to face her.
"I can't say I see your reasoning, but my own weakness would have to be my anger and rage. I am constantly having to let it go somehow, it's like sometimes I just snap for no reason, well there usually is a reason. Lately it's been less and less of a problem, since I started training with Solis."
Talmic paused as his free hand moved and rested on top of his thigh, his fingers idly tapping on the muscles there. It seemed as if he was relaxing a bit more the longer he stayed like this, and his arm around her shoulder was ripping a bit more tightly. By no means was he aware of it's happening but he did feel some of his residual anger leak off while he was around her. Maybe she was just a very light side Jedi after all? Maybe he did contain some small amount of personality that swayed him to the edge and back.
"I' sorry, I just came to realize that you were right, about everything really. I guess I've been running around blind huh?"
He laughed nervously and then leaned his head over to rest on hers, his slicked hair touching hers, it felt odd to him.
"Thanks... Val."

She could tell that he really didn't like her answer. He kind of stiffened a bit and froze as she saw it and that was something that indicated he didn't approve of whatever it was she had said. She sat in silence and listened to what he said.
"Yes, I can see where letting your emotions suddenly bust out. But if that is the way that you can deal with them and let them out then as long as you don't keep them in."
She was shocked when he agreed with her earlier comments seemed he had been thinking about them for a bit. She smiled and then even more shocking was that he leaned his head against hers. Her smile grew.
"I guess if I had to put one word to my weakness it would be compassion. Compassion for people and races for lands and travel. I think that is what it would truly be."

"Compassion is no weakness, if anything it is a strength far greater than any rage or anger. You see, if can feel compassion for any living being than that someone always has a reason to fight for it, to work for it. If you would rather turn a dark Jedi to the light would you not need tremendous compassion to do so. No I think your weakness, from what I have seen, is the small opening in your defense on your third move in. You left your right thigh totally exposed, not wise."
Yes Talmic had seen a bit of her intricate dance, and had guessed from her moves that he followed his own Form X and that she would use that most often. Difference was she held both blades forward, so she would obviously be using one for defense and one for offense, as the form taught. He could also surmise from her role of a Sentinel that she saw far fewer battles than Talmic. Even two weeks ago Talmic had fought of a group of three trying to harm his new teacher.
"Let me guess, Form X and.... Form VI I would say from your movements. If you don't mind, I'd love to go into detail. That is, if you want to talk about it."
Talmic would love to be able to talk saber combat, especially two handed combat, with someone like Val around he could probably open up and relax for once. Maybe this is what Master Skywalker had been talking about when he said love could be a tool no Sith could ever wield? Was it because the Jedi showed compassion and caring for all living creatures? Maybe so, maybe this girl would be able to infinitely bolster his connection to the Force. Of course she could also be his fall to the dark side... that was a risk he would have to take right now.
Turning his head to hers, he closed his eyes and searched out his true feelings again, yes it was there, compassion, for this girl at least. Raising the hand off her shoulder her cupped under her chin and turned her head to face him as he opened his eyes.
"You know what, that kiss doesn't seem so bad now..."

His words rung true to her. And it was now that she saw a truly soft side of him. She smiled as he spoke she felt just right here. She didn't know exactly why he had come here today but man she was happy he was here. He was making her so happy right now just talking to them.
"If you would like to talk more on my form or our shared forms that is fine. I really don't know what I can offer to the conversation but I'm willing to give it a shot." she said with a smile.
She was over reluctant to move her head for fear of scaring him off when he was just beginning to get comfortable with her. She closed her eyes and felt content that the warm sun was beaming down on them it was only mid afternoon and it was with Talmic. She sighed inwardly when she suddenly felt his hand move and lift her chin up to face him.
"You know what, that kiss doesn't seem so bad now..." she looked up into his violet eyes and her heart began beating faster he wanted to kiss her.
"No? Show me." she whispered her own hand moving up to cup his face gently.

He was reluctant, his deep taught lessons of how love would ring about his downfall still ringing in the back of his mind. He had however found his own truth about love. What he had come to is that with the right path threw life he could manage to remain a strong Jedi and yet at the same time find a life outside the Jedi Order. It felt really good to know that maybe not wit this woman, but with another, hell maybe she was the one, the Force had guided him here... but he would not be so bold nor did he know himself. This wasn't love yet, it was compassion, nothing more, nothing less. If Talmic did fall in love it would be a long ways off, a LONG ways off.
Finally swallowing down his doubts Talmic leaned in a bit farther, the final moment before he kissed her his eyes closed, he shut them tight, almost afraid of what he was going to do. So a second later his lips touched hers and his hand under her chin kept her there. Soon the kiss was broken, his feelings of attraction returning with the kiss, he didn't know how to react again. He just sat there, lips an inch from heres, Violet orbs now staring into her hazel depths. He blinked a couple times and then let his hand fall away, moving back to wrap around her shoulder. He slowly but surely turned back to his front and took a deep breath. He let it out slowly and blinked a couple more times, trying to even out his mind.
"So... about those forms..."

She smiled up at him as he bent down and connected his lips with her. The feelings and sensations ran through her body once more as he touched her lips. It was something she didn't really know how to put a name to. Somehow the two had met here and now here they were giving each other their second kiss. It was amazing what was happening to her. Here with Talmic was right now the only place she wanted to be.
Love? No this was not love yet. But she wouldn't close herself off her the possibility of this or something else turning into such a feeling. She longed for more of his lips longed to feel them pressed against hers longer. But she knew that to rush him would be to push him away and she had been shocked enough to learn that he had wanted to kiss her again anyway. It was so wonderful the way he was warming up to her and the way he did it slowly seemed to make it even better in her mind.
"Yes, you wanted to talk about them. I'm all ears." she said with a smile as her head too its' position on his shoulder again ready to listen to his words.

He was relieved when she didn't pursue the matter of a kiss farther, it would probably be the only one either would have for some time to come. Although Talmic was sure he could go farther with her, to the point of even admitting he felt something more than friendship, like compassion, he would be hard pressed to advance this more than a kiss a week for a while. Sure it may seem odd to the general populous, but for Talmic it was his way of keeping from losing to his emotions and falling fro the light. He had also toyed around with the idea of love in his head in a bad way. What if she were hurt and he lost it? What if she died and he gave into the rage that would induce and he would slip into darkness?
Things like this would have to be sorted out at the time he could properly meditate, seek out and let go of his compassion if need be. As much as he hated it, if the risk became to much he would tell her they could never advance farther than friends, and that his feelings may still be there but presented to great a risk for him to slip into them.
"Well, I noticed that you hold both sabers forward, whereas I hold my left saber forward and my right saber reverse blade style. Just kind of strikes me as odd how we can use the same form and achieve totally different results. Although I have been toying with the idea of creating my own style based on the twin style of Form X, with the back hand styles of Form IX. Quite honestly I think that it would turn out to be a rather good form, assuming I mixed in some variations of Form V. All in all I'm trying to create a delicate blend of speed, defense, and power. I've even trained with the Force enough to increase my physical limitations. I can run faster, jump higher, become stronger, and even increase my stamina through the will of the Force."
Talmic was delighted to finally be able to talk about something he was able to analyze and tear down not it's most basic form. Something he was rarely able to do.

Val listened quietly as he spoke. She recalled how he had said her name for the first time not only a few minutes ago and how it was still sending shivers up and down her spine as was the kiss they had just shared. She would ask him later before they left for another but not just yet she would wait. Wait a while. She knew that the kiss had been a very bold move for him.
"I think that your combined technique would make you a better fighter. If you think about it no one would be sure of how to fight you. Because you would have a style that would be so different yet similar to ones they do know. I think for a while at least for the beginning of a battle it would slightly through off your opponent. If you ever want someone to practice with I would be glad to help you out." she offered.
She swallowed and her hand that was closest to him moved slightly lifting it settled itself on his thigh. Just on top and only lightly not grabbing or rubbing only laying there gently no movement just a simple act of attraction and adoration. Good Grace she was happy here.

Talmic listened to her idea and nodded, his own mind now running threw several possible start maneuvers. One involved having both sabers forward for the start and then reversing them mid swing, as to close the distance and throw off an opponent, making his once wide arc become a close in one that would be lethal or incapacitating.
Soon however her hand fell on his thigh and he tensed up before relaxing again, telling himself it was just her hand, noting more, and that it was just resting on his thigh.
"Well I was thinking that maybe I should use practice sabers to begin with. As the technique I have in mind will more than likely result in an instant death should you slip up once. It is my own kind of perfectionist technique, a style that will incorporate all aspects of the Jedi. Ideally it would be tuned to a twin saber Sentinel who was not only Force competent but lightsaber adept as well. Most likely the style would suit you, but you obviously have a good understanding of form X and my form wouldn't suit your slower swings. Not to mention the fact that I have always held one blade in reverse will make it many times easier for me to use. Although I guess it wouldn't be bad to teach you AFTER I have fully mastered the style... I'm thinking of calling it Ryu-Jar'Kai, since it is a two bladed style yet employs a rapid attack motion, much like a dragon striking out at a threat, rapidly and thoughtfully. You would be surprised by the intelligence of a Krayt Dragon."
Talmic let his hands rest in his lap now, his left hand idly scratching the back of his right. He wondered how much longer he had before she or him would need to leave, it had already been a good half hour.

Val payed close attention as he spoke she was interested in the new style but she was also interested in him. His thoughts and his feelings. But amid the talk his arm fell away from her and now she felt weird leaning against him. She sighed slightly and sat up not wanting to be uncomfortable nor make him uncomfortable.
She slowly took her hand off his thigh and puller her knees up to her chest as she lay her head down on them watching him speak. She really didn't like the lack of contact but she would deal with it. Inside she meditated only slightly enough to tell herself to understand the boy next to her was shy and didn't realize that by pulling away so completly he had left her feeling a bit lonely. She calmed herself and put away the feelings disipating them by rationalizing and soon they were gone. She listened to him through all this.
"I would love to practice with you. Practice blades are good with me too. You are right my style is not perfect for what you are trying to create but that doesn't mean I would not be open to learning and helping you out." she said her hand ran through the grass next to them as she cast her eyes down looking at the grass below them.
They had been out here for quite some time but she was enjoying herself. She picked a flower a small white one and twirled it in her fingers before letting the wind carry it away her hand still running absently through the grass.
"What do you feel is your greatest strength?" she asked looking up at him then back down at her hand running through the long blades of grass.

She moved off of him, he hadn't even realized his hand was off her shoulders until she had pulled away from him a bit. Soon he didn't even realize it but he was also missing the feeling of someone close. Maybe he should consider calling all of this off. He just couldn't figure out what it was he wanted out of this, he didn't want anything really. Wherever it led it was led and most likely it was being guided by the Force. Of course denying his feelings would be to deny himself, and that could lead him astray. By the Force he put to much thought into this.
He listened to her words about practice sabers and the proposition of her learning along with him. Learning a new style might not be the best thing for her, she was a Sentinel after all and would be traveling all over the galaxy as soon as she made Knight. Hell Talmic would be moving about constantly, moving from planet to planet clearing up minor disputes and handling the more combat heavy end of things. Of course lately it seemed Guardians were pulling double duty and also being sent to retrieve Padawans, normally a task left for Consulars. However with the Sith back he wasn't surprised, they to would be seeking out Padawan learners, ones they could turn to the dark side early and create their own personal army of turned Jedi.
When she mentioned greatest strength Talmic could only smirk and continue to look forward, not really focusing on anything but staring ahead to try and sort out his thoughts. The answer was quite simple, and one that most Jedi would not readily see as good. Of course when you your ultimate goal was to bring about the fall of the Sith and somehow restore a suitable to the Force Talmic knew someone had to carry the sword.
"That's a no brainer, Lightsaber combat and battle prowess. Sometimes I feel more at home in a fight than I do just walking around, and I guess you could say it keeps me right on the edge of the light dark barrier. However, I do not really use my sabers that often, more often than not it breaks down to negotiations. I guess you could say carrying a saber but not using one is a Jedi's greatest ally. After all, only force sensitives can use lightsabers without significantly more training, and since Jedi are the only one's who really poses the knowledge to make them it is hard to find one who has one and will use one without fear of hurting themselves with it. So just carrying one tends to make people reconsider a fight. I am curious though, as to what your greatest strength is, at least in your eyes."
Finally ending his rather long and engrossing speech Talmic set his head back and stared up, the sun having moved across the sky a bit he was now more in shadow than in light. The sunlight however came right threw a small opening to splash across his face, his right side illuminated by the sun. Now it would be apparent that Talmic had a significant tan, traveling from world to world, but mostly staying on a sunny Dantooine had led to his development of a fairly deep tan. Thanks to the days of climbing cliffs and saber training outside mostly, oh how he enjoyed those days were he could just lose himself in training and combat practice.
